Il Tour of Utah è l'ultima corsa della carriera per lo statunitense Evan Huffman

Con un messaggio pubblicato sul proprio profilo Instagram (e visibile integralmente in coda alla news), Evan Huffman ha annunciato che il Tour of Utah iniziato ieri è la sua ultima corsa della carriera. Passato professionista nel 2013 all'Astana, il ventinovenne statunitense è dal 2016 parte integrante del Rally UHC Cycling: proprio con questa maglia ha colto le migliori soddisfazioni della carriera, ossia due tappe al Tour of California nel 2017 e due tappe e la classifica al Tour of Alberta.

Ready to rip this prologue of what will be my final professional bike race. Excited to finish off at such an awesome event and with an amazing team. Also extra special to have these custom jerseys benefiting @uhccf This is something I've been thinking about for a long time and have decided it's the right moment for me to move on to a new career. I've definitely enjoyed some great experiences through cycling and still love riding my bike, but the lifestyle of racing professionally, especially being away from home so much, has become more than I'm willing to sacrifice. I'm grateful for all the many people who have supported me (and still are). I couldn't have done anything alone.
